Birding: a reason to travel For all with an interest in birds Richard Stone returns this year to show how travelling around Australia can be combined with bird watching and by doing this how quite remote and interesting places can be visited. The best places in Australia to see Pelagics (seabirds), passerines and non-passerines (landbirds) will be discussed as well as other interesting information on habitat and bird behaviour. |

The Shaping of the Modern Mind For those with an interest in philosophy this is another U3A online course which will be facilitated by Bryan Dwyer. The 8 sessions include outlines and discussions of: ancient views of the Cosmos, the Renaissance and Humanism, The Enlightenment, the "Faith or Science" debate, Humanity in the 21st century and beyond; will it all end in tears? Note there will be a break in the school holidays |

Wine Making The wine makers from 2014 are enjoying a very fine vintage. Damian Byrne will hold an introductory session explaining how it is all done for those interested in joining a group of wine makers this year. The process of wine making and costs will be explained and you can decide if you want to learn to make your own wine. |

Genealogy There will be a “getting started” session to help new comers to begin the search into their family history. Others who are already along the path with their research are invited to meet once a month to share progress and exchange sources of information that they have found useful. We have arranged with the Library for our Genealogy group to access their subscription to Ancestry every Wednesday afternoon. To do this you can bring your own computer or use the Library’s.
